The more positive the thoughts flowing through our mind, the more contented we would feel. It is easy to feel contented when we are praised and appreciated, but to remain contented when we are criticized and rejected is the mark of true spiritual strength. The way to develop this is to learn about God’s way of loving. Only when we are in deep contemplation can we see God showing us the kind of love we need to express so that we ourselves never reject or criticize and always generate good wishes for others. Then we will be satisfied no matter what life throws at us.

Cooperation is based on faith, love and trust. It is a power that comes when there is love for both the task and the special part each plays on bringing it to a completion. Real cooperation takes place when there are good wishes and pure feelings for each other. To cooperate with God in His task is the greatest achievement.

One of the highest forms of courage is the ability to face our own negativity without feeling guilty or bad about ourselves, and then taking responsibility for changing it. We must first make contact with our deepest spiritual core. Reflecting on the things we care about most gives us a glimpse of our innate goodness. Building on this, God will, if we let Him, gently reveal in us a caring and compassionate nature that can even be described as divine. The courage to let go of unwanted thoughts and feelings will develop when we accept that our higher, divine self is not separate from us, but lies at the very heart of who I am.
