When there is real transformation we never repeat our mistakes. When any mistake of ours keeps repeating again and again, it becomes part of our nature, a habit and then we make it an excuse and defend ourselves saying, 'this is just the way I am, this is my nature, etc.' When we justify our mistake we will not be able to work on it to remove it and we find that it is only further strengthened. Once we have recognised the fact that our nature has become such that the mistake keeps repeating again and again, we need to make an attempt to change it without giving any excuse to ourselves or to others. Unless our attitude towards the mistake changes, i.e. we stop justifying it, we will not be able to do away with it.
